Here’s another update as to what the men of our church are up to and how you can get connected.

What’s Been Going On

We kicked off the season with a Softball game and BBQ on September 10. About 25 guys spent a few hours having a blast and demonstrating how out-of-shape we are. The food afterward never tasted so good. Plan on doing this again when the weather warms.

On November 7, about 20 of us met at highway bowl to do some socializing. We even bowled a few games while we were at it. We were a tremendously diverse group. We ranged in age from 12 to over 80, and we ranged in skill level from the 50’s to nearly 200. (Some of the brothers are deceptively good bowlers.)

Stay Tuned

Breakfast is free for all men on December 10, 8:30 AM at the church. You come. We cook. You eat. We’ll also take an opportunity to share more about MIA and what we’ve got planned. Bring your sons and neighbors. We only ask that you sign up in the fellowship hall so we have enough food.

Tentatively set for January 17, we plan to have a Men’s Wing Night at one of the local wing joints. Stay tuned for more details.

Sometime in February we plan to have a movie night at the church. We’ll be watching the new movie “Courageous” about being men of integrity in our families. Stay tuned for the date.

We have a couple ideas for service projects in the months to come. For example, we’re going to look into what would be needed to get a bunch of guys together to spend a day helping build a house for Habitat for Humanity. Another idea was coordinating and executing a donation pick-up day for needs that Neighbourlink may have. We’ll keep you posted.
