Dominican Mission Trip 2012

On January 19, 2012, 24 members of Living Hope will be travelling to the Dominican Republic to do work ministry for one week.
As a group, we have chosen two projects to work and fundraise for:
1. building two concrete block homes; and
2. purchase of an electrical inverter for a Christian school.
Our work on the two homes will be done in the morning. In the afternoons, we will participate in ministries which include feeding a village; a children's lunch program; visiting men, women, children and maternity wards at a hospital in Puerto Plata; and spending time at several orphanages. We hope to move two local families into the homes that we have finished.
Our fundraising goal is $19,000. We ask for your prayerful and financial support as we work together as a team and raise funds to cover these projects.
All costs for accommodations and flights are covered by the individuals themselves. The fundraising we do as a team goes directly to the project and does not go to our personal expenses.
