Did you know? Seafarers transport 90% of all you own. Many seafarers who spend Christmas on the job away from their families deeply appreciate being thought of by a total stranger. Will you help us with the “Seafarers Christmas Parcel Program?” We have until Sunday, Oct 27 to collect the following (suggested) items which the GEMS will assemble the following night into gift packages and ship to Montreal:
Socks, mittens, gloves, neck
scarf, bagged wrapped candy, pens, small calendar, travel size shampoo, face cloth, deck of cards, liquid soap/body wash, tooth brush/paste, nail clippers, purse-size Kleenex, small Canadian souvenir

***all hats have been supplied **
Please place the items in the red totes labeled “Seafarers Donations” in the church foyer. Thank-you in advance for your generosity and helping the GEMS share the love of Christ by making these parcels available to the Seafarers!

We are delighted to receive official word that we are scheduled to welcome a new Syrian family on
October 18! We have rented an apartment for them and have most of the necessary furnishings, thanks to you! We still need a vacuum cleaner and a laptop computer. We may need a cell phone, depending on what they already have. If you have one of these items in excellent condition that you can donate, please contact Joleen Vanderheide or one of the deacons.

Thanksgiving Day Bake Sale

Our annual Sarnia GEMS Bake Sale will be held on Thanksgiving Day to support the GEMS International Ministry. First CRC and Living Hope CRC will be having a bake sale on Thanksgiving Day and Redeemer will be having a door collection on Sunday, October 13. The proceeds will help support the GEMS International Ministry which includes The Esther School and Sister Clubs around the world. We have made a commitment to financially support our Sister Club in Lusaka, Zambia. The money we raise will help our Sister Club with the supplies needed to run their club. For more information regarding these exciting ministries please go online to Thank you for your
continued support.
